A glimpse of ALWAN 2026: Flour flies and dough comes to life in Scared Bakers by Duo Meroni Zamboni from Italy, where two eccentric bakers dreaming of the circus, transform their bakery into a hilarious playground of acrobatics, juggling and wonderfully messy surprises… The unforgettable Cia Mundo Costrini from Spain returns with FRIKIS, an outrageously eccentric couple bringing their own explosive mixture of circus, magic, music, dance and total comic chaos… In Ma Solitude, acclaimed Spanish artist Guillem Albà creates a tiny universe from his own hands, combining puppetry, comedy and poetry in an intimate experience that reminds us of the magic of the simple things we share… Walo, the charming juggling master of Mr Copini from Spain, wanders through ALWAN surprising everyone he meets before inviting us into Walo World, where a giant sphere, juggling, light and music come together in a magical spectacle… And keep your eyes open because something enormous is roaming the festival! Italy’s Mascheraviva brings us Chromosauros, a spectacular 5-metre-high and 7-metre-long colourful creature that moves through the crowds with its mysterious keeper, appearing almost magically alive… Then comes Gran Familia by Fadunito from Spain: a not-so-ordinary giant family on a very unusual day out, with mischievous children, an XXL baby carriage and plenty of trouble wherever they go. Jiddo Hashem and his granddaughter Sama, the giant puppets inspired by the recycled puppets of Mahdi Karera from Gaza will roam the festival grounds bringing their joyful dance moves and energy of resilience to Alwan. Finally don’t miss Jeena and Qased who will get you dancing nonstop to oldies and trendies while the Palestine Circus School teaches you some circus skills in their engaging mini workshops.
