Artistic Experiences
"WEAVING AND GIVING " by Zain Sarairah/Jordan
Large weaving boards are set up for the children and their parents to try their hand at weaving. Using recycled Tshirt fabric, generously donated to us by the Jordanian Modern Textile Factory, with your help we will create beautiful colourful wall hangings that will then be donated to child caring NGO’s, to brighten up their walls. Zain Sarayrah who is a weaving expert and worked on the creation of these boards will be there to help you enjoy this old and timeless craft.
SILKSCREEN PRINTING
Al Raseef 153 offers a pop-up workshop, which will teach the kids how to manually print using the silk-screen method. This simple process entails pouring ink onto a silk screen with a design, and imprinting it using a squeegee to create your own fabric or paper print.
Recycle Me
Let us come together and try to make a small difference by turning some garbage into beautiful art. Take your water bottle to the Recycle Me station and our team will guide children to produce some beautiful products with it. More recycling ideas await them.
Never Ending Chalk Board
Leave your children to their imagination and have them create their own drawings and statements on our 20 meter chalk board!
Cross Stitch by Tiraz
Tradition will meet the small fingers of children as they learn how to embroider simple cross stitch patterns. Folkglory and Tiraz centre will provide kids with starter kits to try out how grandmothers decorated beautiful Jordanian and Palestinian thobs for years. Parents are welcome to join the learning process with their kids.
